FAQ - The life expectancy of Fashion Colour
What is the life expectancy of my Fashion Colour?

Three weeks to five weeks is generally the life expectancy, however this is hugely determined by the frequency of shampoos and type of shampoo used. The recommended shampoo is one that is designed for colour treated hair that is more gentle by design.

Fashion color has several factors that impact the longevity. The shade of the fashion colour itself will dictate how long the colour may last, i.e. more pastel fashion colours tend not to fade as quickly as more intense colours. Maintenance regimen is crucial to the life expectancy of the colour.  What the maintenance should consist of includes using colour enhancing shampoo, particularly if your colour falls within the red family. Shampoos should be used with warm water but not hot, as hot water will cause the color to fade more quickly. All other colours should be maintained with a moisturizing shampoo as well as a weekly Masque that is colour treated as well an intense conditioned. Discuss this with your salon's colourist especially if you're there for a colour refresh.
